Account & Data Deletion Policy
At Vakeel Sahib (operated by Selvel Legal Technologies Private Limited), we value user privacy and provide full transparency and control over your personal data. In accordance with Google Play Developer Policy and the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, this page provides instructions on how you can permanently delete your account and associated personal data.
1. How to Delete Your Account (2 Available Methods)
You can request account deletion at any time using either of the following methods:
Method A: In-App Instant Account Deletion
If you have access to the Vakeel Sahib mobile application or web portal:
- Open the Vakeel Sahib app or visit vakeelsahib.com/profile.
- Log in to your registered account.
- Navigate to Chamber Settings / Profile.
- Scroll to the bottom and click on "Delete Account".
- Confirm your account password or complete the re-authentication prompt.
- Click "Confirm Delete". Your account and associated personal records will be immediately and permanently purged.
Method B: Online / Email Deletion Request (Without App Access)
If you have uninstalled the app or cannot log in to your device:
- Send an email from your registered email address to privacy@vakeelsahib.com or support@vakeelsahib.com.
- Use the subject line:
Account Deletion Request - [Your Registered Phone/Email]. - Include your full name and registered phone number/email address for identity verification.
- Our compliance team will verify your identity and permanently delete your account and associated records within 7 business days. You will receive a written confirmation email once the process is complete.
2. What Data Is Deleted vs. Retained
When an account deletion request is executed, your data is processed as follows:

3. Processing Timeframe & Retention Period
- In-App Deletion: Executed immediately (real-time automated purge across authentication, database, and document storage).
- Email/Web Request Deletion: Processed within a maximum of 7 business days following identity verification.
- Legally Mandated Retention: Retained compliance, tax, and accounting records are securely archived with restricted administrative access and deleted upon expiration of the respective legally mandated retention periods.
